REG DAY

Sponsored by the Adoption Registration Coalition in support of the ISRR.

The ARC - Adoption Registration Coalition is a volunteer coalition of adoptees, birthparents and others dedicated to promoting the use of the International Soundex Reunion Registry for reuniting adoptees and birthparents around the world. The primary function of the ARC is to plan, promote, and execute the International Registration Day events.

What We Do

ISRR is a non-profit, humanitarian agency which serves and promotes, through the reunion registry, the interests of adults desiring and seeking a reunion with next-of-kin by birth.

This agency serves the needs of birth family members who have been separated from each other by adoption, divorce, foster care, institutional care, abandonment, etc.

When a registration is received the information is computerized. If data matches and the ISRR registrar determines a relationship exists, both parties will be notified immediately

ISRR is not affiliated with any registry or other organizations.

Introduction to RegDay

Who?

ARC - The Adoption Registration Coalition -

A Volunteer coalition of adoptees, birthparents and others dedicated to promoting the use of the International Soundex Reunion Registry for reuniting adoptees and birthparents around the world. The primary function of the ARC is to plan, promote, and execute the International Registration Day events.

ISRR - The International Soundex Reunion Registry -

The World's largest and most successful mutual consent reunion registry. The ISRR does not charge for it's services, but does accept donations.

Volunteers -

Any Triad member (Adoptees, Birth Parents or siblings and Adoptive Parents or siblings) who believe adoptees have a right to reunion with their natural families upon reaching the age of majority when this is mutually desired by the adoptee and the birth family.

What? -

A day where volunteers set up tables in public locations for the purpose of publicizing the ISRR and assisting people seeking lost family members in filling out ISRR Applications.

When?

The ARC's International RegDay is held Annually the first Saturday in October. This year, it falls on October 2.

Where?

In public locations all over the US --even on Military Bases, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Virgin Islands and Samoa.

For National Locations see www.regday.org

Why?

Because the International Soundex Reunion Registry is the largest and most successful registry for reuniting adoptees and birthparents around the world.

Because not all states have a mutual consent registry and Arizona's CI System has less than a 50% success rate.

Because RegDay is an opportunity for Arizona citizens to show their support of the triad and the families of adoption. As such, it could help lead to the passing of adoption reform legislation in the Arizona State Legislature.
